About the AMPLab
The Auditory Mechanics and Perception Lab (AMPLab) is housed in the Barkley Memorial Center on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus. We are interested in how the cochlea, the hearing organ of the inner ear, processes and shapes the sound signal that the brain ultimately recognizes and that a listener ultimately perceives. Our goal is to understand how this dynamic process works with typical hearing and how it changes with hearing loss.
How to Get Involved
We are currently looking for adults age 19 years and older with normal hearing or hearing loss. If you fit into one of these categories, please contact us by emailing amplab@unl.edu or calling 402-472-2145 to schedule an appointment. Our studies take about 3-4 hours to complete. We will compensate you for your time and, potentially, mileage.
